Edwardian Sterling Silver Trumpet Vases Pair London C.s. & Co Celtic Knot 1130g
A pair of matching sterling silver trumpet-shaped specimen flower vases. Each vase features a flared upper rim with a wavy, undulating profile that transitions downward into a tapered tubular stem. The upper section of each stem is decorated with an embossed horizontal band showcasing intertwined Celtic knotwork. Positioned on opposite sides within this decorative band are 2 symmetrical oval cartouches. The tapered stems narrow progressively toward the bottom before fluting outward into a circular, multi-tiered domed foot base. The interior base of each unit is filled with a weighted structural composition lining, giving a combined total gross weight of 1130 grams for both pieces. Stamped horizontally along the upper inner edge of the flared rim is a series of four uniform British hallmarks. These include the maker's initials C.S. & Co LD, the lion passant sterling purity mark, the leopard's head London assay office mark, and an Edwardian date letter. The physical dimensions of each individual vase measure 24 cm in height, 10 cm across the widest section of the top flared rim, and narrow to a diameter of 7 cm across the bottom footprint base. The exterior surfaces display a polished white metallic sheen.
