Théodore exhibited fitted cases at the 1844 Exposition of French Industrial Products, for which he was awarded a bronze medal; the variety and pleasing designs of these items demonstrated that he was upholding his firm’s fine reputation. In 1856, he took over the Chabert firm at 22 Rue Chapon; he operated the business for a few years before selling it to Coignard in 1863.
