Mailfert Writing Desk In The Louis XV Style

An elegant little Louis XV-style side table made of fruitwood, bearing the Mailfert stamp; a French piece from the first half of the 20th century.

It features a small sliding shelf on the side that serves as a writing desk, adding a practical and functional touch.

Beautiful honey-colored patina that highlights the wood’s warm tones.

Mailfert stamp:

Under its tabletop, this table bears the circular stamp of André Mailfert, a renowned manufacturer of period-style furniture established in Orléans in the early 20th century.

The Mailfert workshops were particularly renowned for their reproductions of antique furniture, inspired notably by 18th-century French furniture, with special attention paid to patinas and traditional cabinetmaking techniques.
