Marble Fountain
Marble fountain, Southern Italy, probably Naples, late 17th century.
The basin, carved in an elegant four-lobed shape reminiscent of a three-leaf clover, rests on a refined baluster base and an imposing architectural pedestal, adorned with powerful volutes and embellished with polychrome marble inlays.
Some chips, some old restorations, and normal wear and tear.
