Antique gold-plated brass jewelry box, hexagonal in shape with rounded sides.
The lid is adorned with a porcelain miniature portrait depicting Queen Marie Antoinette with a rose, based on the famous portrait by Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun painted in 1783.
The central medallion is surrounded by a border of laurel leaves, while the body of the box features a relief decoration of scrollwork and foliage.
The interior is entirely lined with deep blue velvet.
Late 19th-century piece in the Louis XVI style.
