This Art Deco glazed ceramic bust is a reproduction produced by an Italian manufacturer of the famous statue “Mater Purissima” by Attilio Fagioli (1877–1966) in the 1930s.
It features shades of deep blue and golden highlights on the Virgin Mary’s scapular.
Signed “Fagioli” on the back of the bust.
Period: First half of the 20th century, circa 1930–1940
Condition: Very good condition, no cracks or chips.
