Large Tea Set (40 Pieces) By Giraud & Brousseau, Limoges, France

A large tea set consisting of 12 cups and saucers (12), 12 flat cake plates, and 4 serving pieces: a cream pitcher, a sugar bowl, a teapot, and a dessert platter. 
Limoges, France, Giraud & Brousseau.
Decor: central polychrome floral motif (an open rose surrounded by small multicolored wildflowers) and a delicate blue-and-gold geometric frieze along the rims.
Beautiful, wide gilding on the handles.
Pieces marked with a knight’s helmet surmounted by large plumes, inscribed within a rectangular cartouche framed by the words “Limoges” at the top and “France” at the bottom in orange, as well as the words “Limoges France” in green.

Distinguishing features: the number of pieces, the condition.

Condition: perfect; no fading of the decoration; gilding on the larger pieces is perfect; only a few areas of fading on the cups near the handle grips and on the dessert plate (see photos)
