Decorative Italian-style Candlesticks, Mid-20th Century

A pair of decorative candelabra depicting Moors holding cornucopias that culminate in a six-light candelabra. The curved arms, richly carved with foliage motifs and scrollwork, are gilded with silver leaf. The bases feature gilded volutes and scrolls on a polychrome lacquered base, highlighting the elegant contrast between the surfaces. One of the figures retains its original silver-leaf finish, while the other is ebonized, creating an interesting color contrast. This refined mid-20th-century Italian piece stands out for its attention to detail, representing a perfect example of period decorative craftsmanship. 6 E14 light bulbs
