Oval Meissen porcelain (Saxony, Germany) tureen with lid; the curved body, featuring two rocaille handles, rests on four claw feet; the upper part of the body and the lid are decorated with a raised wickerwork border known as “New Brandenstein”; the lid’s handle features a child holding a cornucopia from which flowers emerge in relief, with polychrome decoration of bouquets and scattered flowers rendered in naturalistic style. Gold fillets along the rim and on the handles.
Marked with crossed swords in blue.
