Elegant Empire-style chandelier dating from the Napoleon III period, second half of the 19th century.
The partially lacquered metal frame features six sinuous light-bearing arms, embellished with cut-glass pendants.
The central body, with its characteristic hot-air-balloon shape, consists of numerous chains of barrel-shaped crystals of varying sizes, arranged in ascending order from smallest to largest, creating a harmonious cascading effect.
The central circular band, decorated with Empire-style ornamental motifs, connects the upper part of the chandelier to the ornate lower structure, which culminates in a large faceted pendant.
