Louis XV Rocaille-style Gilded Mirror, Beveled Glass
An elegant, gilded Louis XV-style wall mirror with Rocaille decoration.
The frame features a beautiful, flowing silhouette, adorned with volutes, acanthus leaves, and shell motifs in the Rococo style. Both the upper pediment and the lower section are richly decorated, giving the piece a highly decorative presence.
The mirror has beveled edges, which add depth and refinement to the piece. Its gilded finish, slightly weathered by time, lends it great charm.
Probably a 20th-century piece, in the style of French Louis XV-style mirrors. The frame appears to be gilded wood with stucco or composite elements, to be confirmed by examining the back.
Very decorative above a console table, a dresser, a fireplace, or in an entryway.
