Empire-style Vase Made Of Parisian Porcelain, Gilded With Fine Gold, Featuring A Landscape And An Ancient Allegory
A beautiful ornamental baluster-shaped vase made of Paris porcelain, a high-quality piece featuring handles in the form of winged female busts in the classical style. Crafted in the Empire style and dating from the Restoration period—early 19th century, circa 1810–1820. Beautiful decoration in the Sèvres style, adorned with Italian landscapes on one side and a trophy symbolizing music on the other, set against a Nanking background. Very fine, brilliant gilding throughout the vase.
A very refined piece, it would make a lovely addition to a display on a piece of furniture or a desk.
Our vase is in excellent condition, with very fresh gilding that is remarkably well-preserved. No damage.
