Launched in 2004, the Cartier Tank Solo is, according to the brand, a “simple yet contemporary” expression of “the unique aesthetic of the original Tank.” It draws its roots from the history of the Tank, whose silhouette was conceived by Louis Cartier at the end of World War I, inspired by the Renault FT-17 light tanks. The Solo is a more recent variation, designed as a more accessible entry point into the collection.
