Important Venetian Console Table In The Louis XV Style – Carved, Lacquered, And Gilded Wood –

Spectacular Louis XV-style console table, richly carved and openwork, resting on four fluted legs joined by a substantial crossbar.

The scalloped apron features an extremely abundant rocaille decoration composed of shells, scrolls, foliage, flowers, and volutes, with a remarkable openwork lattice motif at the center surmounting a large shell.

The strongly arched legs are also adorned with foliage and floral carvings.

They are joined by a highly ornate crossbar, centered with a large rocaille composition.

The piece as a whole features an elegant celadon-green lacquer finish accented with gilding, offering a beautiful contrast and particularly highlighting the richness of the carving.

It is topped by a substantial red marble top veined with white, molded and scalloped, perfectly following the curves of the base.

A particularly decorative console table with generous proportions, ideal for an entryway, a large living room, or a home with character.
