Small 18th-century Gilded Wooden Wall Console
An elegant wall console in carved and gilded wood, French work from the 18th century, resting on two cabriole legs joined by an openwork stretcher. The frieze is finely carved with rocaille and foliate motifs, typical of the Louis XV style. The original painted faux marble top, with its veined decoration in warm tones, displays a beautiful antique patina. The gilding, still in good condition, shows natural wear consistent with age, highlighting the relief of the carving and the authenticity of the piece. An ideal console for an entryway, living room, or beneath a mirror.
