Artist: Marcel Debut ( 1865-1933)
An Orientalist sculpture depicting a water carrier on the move. Dressed in a belted tunic and wearing a headscarf, he carries a pole over his shoulder from which a large jug hangs; small containers are attached to his belt. The sculpture is signed “Debut” and rests on an ornate gilded metal base. The design matches that attributed to Marcel Debut.
