Miniature Ceremonial Carriage In Gilded Bronze And Polychrome Enamel – 19th Century

A miniature ceremonial carriage crafted from finely chiseled and gilded bronze, embellished with polychrome enamel panels depicting figures and foliage in the Renaissance style.

The richly architectured central body is adorned with enameled panels depicting male and female figures in period costume, surrounded by arabesques and multicolored floral motifs. The entire piece rests on four large openwork wheels, decorated with radiating rosettes, while the chassis features remarkable chisel work.

At the front and rear, the decoration continues with fantastical creatures and zoomorphic elements in gilded bronze, accompanied by small caskets and miniature accessories. The upper section is crowned with an openwork design and an elegant finial.

A particularly elaborate decorative object, characteristic of the historicist and Neo-Renaissance taste of the second half of the 19th century, evoking Viennese luxury pieces that combine gilded bronze and painted enamel.
