Art deco Oak Corner Chair With Cut‑out Backrest And Rush Seat, Belgium, Circa 1920
A distinctive Belgian Art Deco corner chair from around 1920, crafted in solid oak with a rush‑woven seat. The chair’s angular form is softened by the cut‑out geometric motifs in the back panels, creating a sculptural interplay of light and shadow.
The natural texture of the rush contrasts beautifully with the warm tone of the oak, highlighting the artisanal craftsmanship typical of early 20th‑century Belgian design. Compact yet expressive, this piece works perfectly as an accent chair, bedroom corner seat, or decorative occasional chair.
This chair embodies the architectural elegance and handcrafted authenticity of Belgian Art Deco furniture; a timeless blend of geometry and organic texture.
