Pair of Green Marble and Gilded Bronze Candlesticks, with Five Arms.
This antique 19th-century mantelpiece set consists of three parts.
The base is a beautifully carved block of marble resting on four gilded, chiseled bronze feet; the central body, shaped like a Medici vase and also made of marble, sits on a bronze mount and features handles on either side decorated with acanthus leaves. At the top, the candelabra is made of solid bronze, chiseled and gilded, with five candle holders, five candle sockets, and their five cups.
Note that this set is in its original condition: no holes in the bronze and no chips in the marble.
