Silver Wine Taster
A very beautiful silver wine taster, circular in shape, featuring a richly decorated interior with a radiating pattern of gadroons and relief motifs, embellished with small cabochons. It is fitted with a finely crafted side handle decorated with a serpent motif.
In the center is an antique silver coin bearing the effigy of Louis XIV, bearing the title “LVD XIIII D G … FR ET NAV REX” (“Louis XIV, by the grace of God, King of France and Navarre”), along with the date 1690. The coin is integrated into the composition and is the most striking feature of this piece.
