This is the first edition of the original 1977 lamp.
The lamp consists of a pencil-shaped base—that is, a cylinder topped with a cone—and a shade shaped like a perfect half-head.
The half-base reflects the light downward.
Made of lacquered metal, shown here in black.
More specifically, this is a functional first edition in excellent condition.
