Round cup with six gadroons and two handles, made of enameled copper with a hexagonal base, depicting a winged Cupid carrying his quiver over his shoulder and riding a lion in the foreground of a landscape scene. The lobes are adorned with a polychrome design of flowers and birds on a white background.
The reverse features a medallion at its center depicting a thatched cottage in front of a pond. The peripheral frieze is punctuated by two bird figures, flowers with small square silver leaf inlays called “paillons” in place of petals, and gold foliage scrolls on a black background.
The handles are flat and openwork, decorated with gold foliage scrolls on a black background.
Bears the monogram “IL” in gold letters at the bottom center of the main scene.
