19th-century Paint Merchant's Cabinet, A Piece Of Trade Furniture.
A very rare 19th-century oak paint merchant’s cabinet. It features a glass-topped surface (the glass is not original) and four sliding drawers; two still contain their original compartments labeled with the names of the different colors they once held.
One drawer has lost its labels. The top drawer, located under the glass, never had labels. In good overall condition; the piece retains its original finish, though the small bottom crossbar has been replaced. Originally asymmetrical, with the front higher than the back.
Can be converted into a collector’s piece.
