Porcelain cup with a sky-blue background, decorated with a romantic scene and flowers in reserved areas, accented with gilding on the exterior and polychrome floral garlands on the interior against a white background. Marked with interlaced “L”s and the letters “AD” on the inside.
Mark and numbers visible in the clay on the underside. Gilded bronze trim encircling the base and rim of the bowl. In the style of Sèvres; possibly from the Parisian workshop of Anatole Dauphin? 19th century.
Some wear on the gilding and the gilded bronze. Small firing crack beneath a flower on the inside of the bowl. A small gap between the upper trim and the porcelain.
