Late 18th Century Directory Style Coffee Table With Inlays
Refined and unique coffee table, crafted from solid walnut, finely carved with exquisite fruitwood inlays. The table features elegant saber legs, typical of the period, and a front drawer that opens with a knob, offering various compartments for storing small items. This piece is also ideal as a centerpiece, thanks to its floral garland inlays on all sides. The top features geometric inlays, with a central lunette depicting a shepherd on ahill, flanked by a basket, further enhancing the refinement. This is a tasteful and elegant coffee table, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any space. Made in Piacenza (Lombardy, northern Italy), from the Directoire period, around the end of the 18th century.
