Oval Miniature Portrait Of A Woman, High-quality 18th-century Louis XV Rocaille Bronze Frame

A painted oval-shaped miniature depicting the portrait of a young woman with delicate features wearing an elegant dress of taffeta and lace; most likely a lady of high rank or a princess of the court. Presented in a gilded bronze Rocaille-style frame with dynamic decoration; the pediment is adorned with a stylized shell motif that is also featured on the sides. Louis XV period, 18th century.

This miniature is in good condition and of very fine quality. The frame is also in very good condition. It opens from the back (secured by a small hook). There are old handwritten inscriptions in ink on the back and inside (inventory number from an old collection).
