A very beautiful and rare Strasbourg silver chalice with its lid. Decorated with vine branches and grapes. Superb silversmithing! Of great finesse! Hallmarks to be determined. In very good condition! In its original condition! With its original patina. Engraved on both sides: on one side, “gewidmel vom stradsan gervereim St. Gallen”; and on the other, “Den Freunden in Strasbburg,” dated August 9, 1879. Weighs 466.87 grams. Dimensions: 37 cm with its lid. Diameter of 11 cm at the neck and 12 cm at the base. Visually, a piece of great beauty! A fairly rare model!
