This pair of classic-style orange or lemon tree planters features characteristics typical of traditional metal garden planters.
Materials: Frame and sides made of heavy-gauge sheet metal assembled together, with corner posts topped by decorative ogival finials or pine cones. The side walls feature diagonal reinforcements forming a St. Andrew’s cross, adorned in the center with a relief medallion depicting a foliage motif (acorn or fleur-de-lis). Practicality: It has two movable side handles, essential for moving the shrub, as well as the necessary drainage holes at the bottom to prevent the citrus roots from rotting. Visual condition: The item shows a pronounced patina from use with its original greenish-gray color and traces of surface corrosion. The sheet metal, however, appears thick and sound (no perforations), which preserves its structural integrity.
