A 19th-century set comprising a dance card notebook (carnet de bal) and a coin purse in Boulle marquetry with gold, silver, and mother-of-pearl floral inlay (piqué). The notebook contains ivory leaves on gilt hinges. The purse features a blue silk accordion interior. Presented in its original case lined with crimson velvet.
