South Sea White Pearl And Diamond Ring In Yellow Gold

Contemporary ring in 750/°° yellow gold (18 KT, eagle-head hallmark), set at its center with a large, ovoid-shaped South Sea cultured pearl, featuring a beautiful surface and luster. It is accompanied by four brilliant-cut diamonds set in a closed setting, arranged at varying heights within a particularly free-flowing and contemporary design.

The design of this ring plays on a remarkable interplay of lines: the various gold branches unfold around the pearl in supple, asymmetrical curves, crossing and rising to different heights as if to encircle it. The pearl’s ovoid shape, which elegantly tapers upward, fully contributes to this dynamic, in an interplay of lines that naturally complements its volume and highlights its presence.

Each of the branches is punctuated by a closed-set diamond, whose deliberately irregular arrangement follows the movement of the setting and adds touches of light to the composition.

This highly organic construction gives the ring a truly sculptural quality. The solid and open elements echo one another; the spaces left between the various prongs lend a sense of lightness to a setting that is nonetheless generously crafted in gold, while the pearl seems to emerge naturally from this fluid architecture.
