Pair Of Napoleon III-style Cloisonné Enamel And Gilded Bronze Candlesticks
Pair of small cloisonné enamel and gilded bronze candlesticks, Napoleon III period
Superb pair of small cloisonné enamel candlesticks, convertible into vases, from the Napoleon III period, in the Japanese-inspired Orientalist style.
Cloisonné enamel with a sky-blue background adorned with floral motifs—plum blossoms, chrysanthemums, and a bird.
Square base with volute feet in chiseled gilded bronze.
Model with removable holders—gilded metal sleeves on stems—allowing them to be used as candleholders or small decorative vases.
Height: 14 cm with base — Base: 6 x 6 cm.
In good overall condition with normal patina on the bronze. Note: there is a slight chip in the enamel of one of the vases, but it is truly minimal
