François Arnal's Trash Plate

"Trash Can" by François Arnal.
It is based on a photogram of everyday objects that might be found in a trash can, thus creating a ghostly image that evokes other images—such as that of an octopus.
François Arnal is an artist who founded Atelier A from 1968 to 1975, a space where art and objects intersected; Atelier A collaborated with numerous artists and designers of that era, including Arman, César, Alain Jacquet, Anette Messager, and André Cazenave (whose “Caillou” lamp is undoubtedly the best-known and most widely produced object)
François Arnal created the largest number of objects for Atelier A; this is a numbered edition (99/2000), made of porcelain and dated 1972.
Good condition, with some signs of wear.
