A Victorian sterling silver two-handled tray, Hunt & Roskell, Late Storr & Mortimer. Kingdom of Sardinia import marks. London, 1853

Of shaped circular form. The border is decorated with shells, scrolling foliage, and twisted ribbon motifs. The centre is engraved with floral and geometric designs. Fitted with handles at either end.

  • The Maker’s Mark: John Samuel Hunt. Hunt & Roskell, Late Storr & Mortimer.
  • The Lion Passant: The Mark that indicates Sterling Silver
