Art Deco tripod vase made of glazed ceramic. Japanese-inspired design. In good condition with slight chipping and normal wear on the bottom (see photos). 12 x 10.3 cm. Monogram signature on the base. Paul-Ami Bonifas (Geneva 1893–Seattle 1967). Swiss ceramic artist. Studied at the Geneva School of Fine Arts and later at the Swiss School of Ceramics. Moved to Paris in 1922 and then to Ferney-Voltaire, where he opened a pottery studio. In 1955, he left to teach artistic ceramics in the United States.
