A substantial jewelry box in gilded, silver-plated, and copper-plated brass, richly decorated with intaglio and relief work.
In the center is an oval painted miniature depicting a romantic scene in nature with a small dog.
It comes with a key, and the clasp is functional.
It is in good condition, with a few minor brown stains on the edges of the miniature and some normal wear on the gilding.
