An excellent landscape painter, he was equally gifted at depicting sumptuous bouquets of flowers. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français beginning in 1913 and distinguished himself at the 1937 International Exposition, winning a silver medal and then a gold medal the following year. He also painted on fabric.
