Three-door Carved Oak Sideboard, Late 18th Century
A beautiful antique sideboard made of solid oak, dating from the late 18th century, featuring exquisite design and rich carvings.
The front features three doors and three drawers. The doors are particularly decorative, each adorned with a scalloped, molded panel centered with an elegant carved star motif, lending the piece great character.
The three drawers are also accented with relief carvings featuring stylized scrollwork and foliage motifs. The intermediate stiles are carved with vertical fluting, lending rhythm and elegance to the front.
The lower rail, beautifully scalloped and carved in the center, rests on elegant snail-shaped legs characteristic of the Louis XV style.
The sides are paneled, reflecting meticulous, traditional craftsmanship.
This sideboard retains a beautiful antique patina, with the marks and signs of wear befitting its age, which fully contribute to its authenticity and charm. The interior offers ample storage space thanks to its three compartments.
The piece is indeed from the late 18th century. A few elements and reinforcements were added in the 19th century, particularly on the back—historical alterations intended to strengthen the piece and clearly visible in the photographs.
A particularly decorative sideboard thanks to its large proportions, its patina, the richness of its carvings, and its authentic character—ideal for both a traditional interior and a more contemporary decor, where it will serve as a stunning statement piece.
