Large Antique Louis-philippe Mirror – White-painted Wood – 19th Century
Large Antique Louis-Philippe Mirror – White-Painted Wood – 19th Century
A substantial and elegant antique mirror from the Louis-Philippe period, dating from the 19th century.
It features a wide, molded wooden frame with rounded upper corners, characteristic of Louis-Philippe mirrors.
The frame is accented by a delicate bead frieze running around the mirror surface as well as along the outer edge.
The off-white painted finish, slightly weathered over time, lends it great charm and beautifully highlights its moldings.
The antique mirror glass exhibits small irregularities and natural marks associated with its age, which fully contribute to the piece’s authenticity.
The back retains its original construction of wooden planks assembled and reinforced with crossbars, as visible in the photographs.
Thanks to its beautiful proportions, this mirror can simply be placed on the floor, set atop a mantelpiece, or hung on the wall.
Its light color allows it to blend seamlessly into both classic interiors and more contemporary decor.
