An important Nevers faience bowl resting on a pedestal, decorated in polychrome blue, white, and ochre in the Persian style, featuring stylized motifs and floral scrolls. The body is adorned with a continuous, finely hand-painted design, punctuated by two zoomorphic handles on the sides. The interior has a light-colored glazed base with a central opening, suggesting it may have been used as a basin or decorative fountain. The piece is signed Antoine Montagnon inside, an emblematic Nevers manufacturer of the 19th century, renowned for the quality of its art faience and the richness of its decoration.
