Traditional Tihu Kachina Doll - Hopi, Arizona, Usa
Traditional ritual doll made of poplar wood (cottonwood in English), carved and painted with natural pigments. The face, like the rest of the sculpture, is covered in white and features minimalist features. The body is tubular and is characterized by the absence of limbs, with the exception of the ears, which are painted yellow. Signs of wear are present. Displayed on a small rectangular black wooden base.
