Emmanuel Frémiet (1824–1910), “Crédo,” a bronze sculpture with a brown patina depicting a medieval knight in battle armor, holds aloft a banner symbolizing the principles of Christianity. The original version was presented at the 1889 Salon. A distinctive bronze sculpture featuring detailed chiseling, a numbered cast from an early edition (Charles More) dating from the late 19th century. Red griotte marble pedestal, signed “E. FREMIET” on the base. In good condition.
