Persian Palm-motif Jar From Montelupo Fiorentino, 31 Cm Tall.
An interesting and rare double-handled apothecary jar decorated with a Persian palmette motif in sapphire blue with orange flowers on a white enamel background, which adorns and surrounds the central cartouche reading "Diacodion Comp." This type of decoration is typical of Florentine production dating to the first half of the 16th century.
The jar is in excellent condition and has no cracks.
