A superb Louis XVI-style mahogany bed, richly adorned with gilded, screw-mounted bronze fittings. Crafted by the prestigious Maison Krieger, a 19th-century French fine cabinetmaker.
It is unusual in that it was large for its time, with an interior width of 1.60m. This bed was made to order for a special commission at the time.
