Spectacular bronze desk inkwell featuring very rich sculpted and openwork decoration in the Neo-Renaissance style.

The composition is dominated by an imposing ornamental pediment populated by cherubs, surrounded by scrollwork, volutes, foliage, flowers, and fantastical motifs.

A cherub crowns the ensemble, while two other winged figures are positioned on either side of the central decoration.

The ornate base holds two circular inkwells with their lids, richly adorned with plant motifs in relief.

The central section forms a small receptacle decorated with scrollwork and foliage.

The piece stands out for the profusion and delicacy of its decoration, as well as for its beautiful antique bronze patina, which accentuates the reliefs.
