Pair Of Claw-foot Stools
Pairs of X-shaped stools (non-folding). Probably from the early 20th century, made of fir; an unusual design because they are asymmetrical beneath the seat, with the wooden sections differing in their curves and chamfered at the top. The lower sections are carved with acanthus leaves. The legs are lion’s paw-shaped; one stool is missing two outer claws and one inner claw, and the other is missing one outer claw—restoration estimate available upon request. The crossbar is turned. The seat is wide and comfortable, and the horsehair upholstery is in good condition.
