Stoneware Table Set – Poterie Du Colombier

A beautiful set of stoneware pottery consisting of a lidded soup tureen with a capacity of approximately 3 liters, accompanied by four soup bowls and two slightly smaller bowls or cups. Produced by Poterie du Colombier, this set is characterized by its hand-thrown stoneware, its sturdy and irregular shapes, its natural shades of brown, beige, and terracotta, as well as its glaze effects and dark drips. On the reverse side of the soup tureen is a handwritten inscription engraved into the clay:
“With compliments from A. P. Bernard,” lending this piece a personal touch and an added historical dimension. The set is in perfect condition, with no apparent damage, and retains a beautiful consistency in material, form, and decoration. Composition: 1 lidded soup tureen—approximately 3 liters; 4 soup bowls; 2 small bowls/cups; 7-piece set. A decorative and functional set, particularly of interest to enthusiasts of French artisanal ceramics and the work of Poterie du Colombier.
