Louis XV-style Bronze Chest In The Shape Of A Scribe's Desk
Bronze cabinet modeled after a Louis XV-style scribe’s chest. Double patina alternating between gilded bronze and a brown finish imitating Chinese lacquer. The sides are adorned with scenes featuring figures, as are the medallions on the drawers and the secretary’s drop-down lid, which features a quiver and torch motif in the center. Like an authentic period piece, this chest is curved on three sides. An openwork pediment embellishes the upper section. The back is also intricately carved. The hinged panel, which serves as a lid, reveals a padded interior.
