Seed Of The Coconut Palm Of The Seas
Artist: Les Seychelles
Cocofesse. A beautiful seed from the sea coconut palm. The largest seed in the world, from a palm tree native to the Seychelles. It owes its nickname to its shape, which resembles a buttock. It can weigh up to 20 kilograms.(Record for a single seed: 42 kg) Latin name: Lodoicea callipyge—a combination of the Latin name for Louis XV of France and a Greek word meaning “one with a beautiful behind.” The Cocofesse is the emblem of the Seychelles. It grows in the Vallée de Mai on the island of Praslin in the Seychelles. Here is a very beautiful seed in excellent condition, with a smooth brown patina, measuring 40 cm high by 30 cm wide and 16 cm thick. And most importantly, it comes with its return certificate, complete with a serial number and original stamp for shipping and traceability. It is attached to the back with tape. The cocofesse is visually very decorative!
