Hb & Cie Choisy Le Roi - Impressive Earthenware Vase
A rare, large faience vase from Choisy-le-Roi. It is decorated with a large coat of arms featuring lions on both the front and back, connected by large belt loops that serve as handles.
A superb piece from the Choisy-le-Roi factory in very good condition.

HB & Cie (Hippolyte Boulenger & Cie) was a famous earthenware and ceramics manufacturer located in Choisy-le-Roi during the 19th and 20th centuries. Founded in the early 1800s and managed by Hippolyte Boulenger from 1863, it left its mark on the history of "ironstone" and slipware in France before closing its Choisy workshops in 1934.
