A Beautiful, Richly Decorated Art Nouveau Strawberry Scoop Or Spoon Made Of Solid Silver And Vermeil.
This beautiful Art Nouveau-era strawberry scoop is in very good condition, aside from a few very minor dents on the back.
The vermeil bowl bears a Minerve first-class hallmark and a hallmark from the silversmith Maillard Frères & Vazou (active 1897–1903). Some traces of gilding are visible in the details of the handle.
The decoration has been very finely crafted; this is a remarkable piece of silverwork due to the quality of its chasing and its floral design—this strawberry scoop is truly superb.
